Activities.
All planning, activities and routines are linked to the Early Years Foundation Phase Framework.
I have many play and learning activities to suit all ages and stages of development including construction (i.e.lego, duplo and junk modelling), role play, tent & tunnel, puzzles, board games, lots and lots of arts and craft materials, dressing up clothes, dolls, playdough etc.
The younger children have access to toys appropriate to their age and stage of development, ie shape sorters, sensory games/books and lots of one-to-one attention.
I have a large range of reading books covering all ages cared for, I also have a selection of books in welsh.
Outside I have a large enclosed garden. Children will have access to scooters, ride ons , a wooden tepee,mud kitchen, trampoline and sand and water toys.
I live opposite a large farmers field with cows and sheep and lovely nature walks. I am also in walking distance too a large park and the beach.
I arrange days out where possible to museums, zoo, baby and toddler groups, library story time, indoor play areas, parks, rspb and numerous other outing ie beach.
Routines are established that will ensure that your child’s meals, snacks and other needs are met. I will try to be as flexible as possible to ensure your child’s happiness.
A daily routine gives children a sense of security. This is why I ensure each day is properly structured while leaving enough time for spontaneous activities.
